As the matta they go, for the resume session wey take place for Abuja, the prosecution counsel led by Rotimi Jacob (SAN), addressed the Court say the matter supposed to come up on the 10th of March; the Counsel to the Defence, Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN) copied him a letter on 26th  February, demanding for the arraignment that day, and him show say him self done ready gidigbam for the case to commence. On his part, the Defence Counsel led by Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN), stated saying him done filed a preliminary objection before the Tribunal wey them been don served at the Federal Ministry of Justice which should be heard and ruled upon, before proceeding with the substantive matter.

The prosecuting counsel, Mr. Jacob (SAN) contended that similar efforts were made by the defence counsel to scuttle the trial by filing motions, yet the accused go about granting press conferences saying he is being persecuted not prosecuted.

He added that already, the Supreme Court has dealt with the matter and he come follow urged the Tribunal to quash the motion and allow the case to proceed.

After heated debate between the counsels, they come later reach agrement say them go adjourned the matta at the instance of the CCT Chairman, Hon Danladi Yakubu Umar on 18/3/2016.
